Esplanade Rehearsal Studio (Meeting Point: Theatre Studio, Level 4, 15mins before start time)
da:ns focus – Footwork makes its return in March 2026! Led by experienced instructors from Singapore dance studios, these introductory dance workshops span various dance genres and are specially designed for beginners of all ages.
The Footwork platform consists of introductory dance workshops in three age categories:
Adults & Preschoolers (3 – 6 years old)
Adults & Kids (6 – 8 years old)
Open (13 years old and up)
We have specially curated four sessions of Footwork for adults and kids. These one-hour sessions will be a great way for adults to bond and have fun learning together with a child between 6 to 8 years old!
This workshop is specially designed for participation between adults and young ones aged 6 to 8 years old. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adult must be 16 years old and above.
Please dress comfortably for the workshop.
About the workshop
Learn simple, easy-to-follow street jazz moves and playful grooves in this playful dance session. Move, laugh and build confidence through dance together and finish the class with a short dance routine that you and your child can enjoy together. Expect smiles, high-fives, and a whole lot of movement fun!
About Instructor: Evangeline
Evangeline is a Singapore-based dance artist who began her journey with ballet and Chinese dance, later expanding into contemporary and street styles to become a versatile performer. She graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Dance, receiving the Academic Excellence award. As both a performer, choreographer, and instructor, she encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, aiming to nurture not only technical growth but also confidence, self-expression, and a deeper appreciation for the art.
Her goal is to empower students of all ages to find their voice through movement and enjoy the journey of learning as much as the destination.
Evangeline is currently teaching dance across various age groups, sharing her craft and inspiring others to discover the power of movement as a form of expression and connection.
About Danz People
Danz People opens the world of dance to children, teens, adults, and seniors through dance training, arts education, and community outreach programmes. Our mission is simple: to inspire, educate, and celebrate the joy of movement.
Danz People is also home to three vibrant dance groups, each celebrating dance as a team and representing the studio with pride. This one big family includes Mini Groovers for kids, All Out Groovers for teens, and Danz People for adults.
From regular training and workshops with local and international choreographers to our annual Recital and community events, every programme is designed to grow skills, confidence, and creativity. We also collaborate with schools and organizations to empower communities, promote active lifestyles, and foster creative expression.

About Instructor: Steffi
Stefanie (also known as Steffi) has been dancing for 27+ years and teaching for 17 years. She began her dance journey self-learning from music videos, before training under her mentor Ann Tan during her university years. Inspired by mentorship, she now teaches to positively impact others through movement.
Steffi works with students from preschoolers to seniors in their 60s and beyond, and teaches styles including K-Pop, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Contemporary, Girl’s Style, fitness dance, and KKardio (K-Cardio) dance. She also leads cardio-based programs like KKardio Dance and KKardio’s KKardio Dance Fitness.
Steffi believes dance is more than steps — it’s a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and personal growth, where dancers learn about themselves through both challenges and breakthroughs.
