As the national performing arts centre, we hope to develop artistic capabilities and push artistic boundaries in Singapore, and in the region. Our residency programmes seek to expand spaces for artistic inquiry, experimentation, research and dialogue among artists, curators, programmers, writers, researchers and practitioners across all disciplines.
Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency
A fully funded residency framed around a thematic focus that aims to support creative research in contemporary performing arts and offers two types of support: Artist-in-Residence and Researcher-in-Residence.
A developmental platform that provides opportunities for research and development of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) for children three to six years old.
The Studios: TRIP
A platform that aims to provide Singapore-based early-career directors with the opportunity to direct their own productions and showcase their work at the Esplanade Theatre Studio, presented as part of The Studios. Open call starts 23 May 2022, apply by 3 Jul 2022.
