About the workshop

Great dance starts with feeling the beat in your body—unlock the joy of moving with the music in this foundational class focused on groove and musicality! This class begins with essential weight-shifting exercises for warm-up, building a strong, grounded connection to the floor. From there, instructor Darren Lee will systematically break down the core elements of a groove: mastering the foundational down bounce, learning to move while maintaining that bounce, playing with rhythm changes, and adding personality with classic party moves. This all comes together as the class learns a short, fun routine designed to help you internalise the rhythm and dance with confidence and style. All levels are welcome!
