PIP's PLAYbox
Once upon a time, there lived a kind but rather forgetful man named Pak Lebai Malang who found himself in quite a dilemma when he was invited to not one, but two celebrations—a birthday party and a Hari Raya open house!
He went back and forth, trying not to miss out on either…but as always, Pak Lebai Malang learned a painful lesson he would never forget.
Through laughter and playful moments, his story reminds us that choices matter, and that trying to be in two places at once might leave us empty-handed.
Join The Storytelling Fairy as she takes you on a journey into this classic Nusantara tale filled with humour, music, and a sprinkle of wisdom— because even in misfortune, there is always a story worth telling.
This interactive storytelling performance features catchy jingles, inviting plenty of audience interaction and participation throughout.
Please register at the entrance to PIP’s PLAYbox. Every human, big or small, needs to be registered, including infant-in-arms.

Nadya Hashim, The Storytelling Fairy
Nadya’s love for stories began long before she ever stepped onto a stage. As a child, she loved listening to tales from near and far, stories filled with wonder, wisdom and magic. Those early moments sparked a lifelong passion that she now brings to life through her enchanting persona, The Storytelling Fairy.
With over eight years of experience captivating young audiences and families, Nadya weaves stories that are lively, heartfelt, and full of imagination. Performing in both Malay and English, she is a bilingual storyteller known for her interactive style, blending songs, jingles, and poetry to create engaging experiences for her audience.
The Storytelling Fairy was recently featured in a Malay edutainment programme, Kelab JMJ. She has performed in national language and cultural campaigns as well as local storytelling festivals. The Storytelling Fairy has performed at The Arts House, Esplanade (PIP’s PLAYbox), museums and National Library. Beyond storytelling, Nadya is also a theatre performer who explores traditional forms such as bangsawan, bringing heritage arts to contemporary audiences.
