Group Visits

To encourage learning and an exposure to the arts, we reach out to students to share the ways in which they can get to know about Esplanade and the performing arts. These are not limited to performing opportunities for student arts groups at one of our venues, but also include discovery walks, self-guided and guided tours around the centre.

Esplanade Trail

This is a specially developed discovery walk just for primary and secondary school students, that we provide at no cost to schools. The Esplanade Trail is unguided and takes the form of worksheets, which enables students to explore the centre's front-of-house spaces on their own to learn about Esplanade and the arts through interactive activities.

To register and obtain the Esplanade Trail worksheets, email us at engage@esplanade.com at least two weeks prior to your preferred dates.

Esplanade Tour

For a deeper understanding of Esplanade's history, architecture and our contribution to the arts industry in Singapore, join the Esplanade Tour. This guided tour will take you and your students backstage in addition to all our front-of-house spaces. It will take about 1.5 to 2 hours and is chargeable.

Do note that the Esplanade Tour is recommended for students aged 12 and above. For safety reasons, participants under the age of 12 are not permitted.

Learning Journeys

As part of our engagement efforts, we conduct Learning Journeys for selected groups of arts educators and tertiary students, who are currently enrolled in arts-related courses, such as technical theatre, stage or arts management. This includes a guided tour of the centre, our performance venues and exhibition spaces, followed by a short presentation and a Q&A session.
