AAPPAC is an association of prominent arts centres and leading arts organisations from around the world, which are involved in the management of arts facilities and arts-related businesses. Established in 1996, AAPPAC's mission is to establish the Asia-Pacific Region as a leading force in the performing arts. AAPPAC hopes to achieve this through the ease of exchange of information on programmes, training opportunities, marketing and management initiatives and the development of relationships within a non-political environment. Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is one of the founding members of AAPPAC and has been hosting the Secretariat since April 2004. Esplanade’s CEO Yvonne Tham is the current Deputy Chair of AAPPAC.
