Synopsis

Experience the magic of Samavaya in one unforgettable night of music! Led by award-winning composer and flautist Niranjan Pandian, The NP Collective will showcase a range of original compositions that masterfully marries the Carnatic music with the sounds of jazz, blues, funk and pop, highlighting the unique fusion of these diverse genres. Be prepared to be utterly entranced by intricate rhythms and captivating melodies inspired by ragas.

This performance is part of the IPAC Music Residency Programme, mentored by legendary musician U Rajesh.

Niranjan Pandian

Niranjan Pandian is a multi-award winning composer, an accomplished flautist, music director and a creative producer. He received the prestigious Arts Scholarship from the National Arts Council (Singapore) in 2019 and is a graduate of the LASALLE College of the Arts.

With a passion for cross-collaborations, Niranjan has built a reputation as an active performer, collaborating with musicians across the region. He was also selected as part of the IPAC Music Residency programme, where he had the opportunity to work closely with the legendary musician, U Rajesh. Under U Rajesh's mentorship, Niranjan has created a range of original compositions that will be featured in the upcoming concert.

Niranjan will be joined on stage by a talented group of musicians from the NP Collective, including Bryan De Rozario on tenor saxophone, Eshan Denipitiya on grand piano, Alim Sazali on electric bass, Jayagowtham Annadurai on South Indian percussions kit, and Muraledharan Naidu on drums.
