After 22 long years as a stalwart in Singapore’s jazz scene, Andayoma bids adieu in this farewell concert before her return to Paris, France. Having first settled in Singapore in 2001, the composer and singer-songwriter immediately made a distinct impression on the music scene with her Creole roots and Caribbean rhythms. Since 2003, Andayoma has charmed audiences with her powerful voice, appearing in numerous public and charitable concerts and performing at prestigious hotels and festivals, including Esplanade’s Jazz in July.
Accompanied by friends and peers from the jazz scene—namely Mario Serio, Ann Gie, Yap Ting Wei and Joshua Wan—Andayoma graces the stage in Singapore one final time. Lose yourself in her sound, a kind of jazz that’s all at once ironic, joyful and nostalgic, rooted in the complexity of human relationships.

Andayoma first revived her desire to sing in 1997, while humming nursery rhymes to her newborns. The following year, she begins her persuit of this passion and in 2001, relocated to Singapore to build her singing career while nurturing her growing passion for songwriting and music composition. Her stage name “Andayoma” is a portmanteau of her daughters’ first names.
Andayoma sees music as the perfect medium to express her thoughts on life’s contradictions as well as the complexities of human relationships. Her life in Asia offered the opportunity for her to step back and observe her contemporaries. More than ever, she acknowledges that jazz is the perfect medium to translate her vision of human contradictions. In May 2010, she released her first album Palette of colours, and successfully toured the album in Canada and French Guiana the following year.
In March 2014, Andayoma released her second album Shades of Love. It offers a collection of her singular Jazzattitude, rendering a mix of jazzy melodies celebrated in Creole and Caribbean rhythms pulsed in English.
