“It was a very moving performance! My students and I have learnt much from this forum theatre and enjoyed the process of understanding the issues and relationship building too. Thank you!”

“I feel like forum theatre is very interesting to get different solutions [sic] and it helped me to open my mind.”

Don't Know, Don't Care is an interactive theatrical experience that looks at a family trying to deal with terminal illness within the household. Wrapped up in their own lives, the family members 'don't want to know' and prefer to leave the caregiving to strangers. Soon, they realise they have to know, and discover the importance of being there for each other.
Can a time of illness allow a family to finally share a bond and experience joy?
Don’t Know, Don’t Care touches on themes relevant to students and their lives. This performance includes interaction and discussions carried out through hot-seating and forum theatre activities which are designed to encourage students to think through their decisions and to empower them to negotiate change in their lives.
Originally commissioned by HCA Hospice Care in 2012.
