rumahsakit is known as one of the pioneers of Jakarta's indie movement. Founded in 1994 in Jakarta Art Institute (IKJ), the band released their debut self-titled album in 1998 featuring two classic anthems, Hilang and Pop Kinetik, which are still played on the radio today. Their second album Nol Derajat was released in 2000, marking the band’s move to experiment with different sounds and darker lyrics. With singles such as Terbalik, Kuning, Mati Suri and Anomali, the album received a cult status among audiences and is still widely hunted as a collector's item.
