Synopsis

Leslie Low’s latest release Chimera features collaborations with Sean Lam (Hanging up the Moon) and Alexius Cai (Piblokto) amongst others. For this special performance, the trio will perform the album in its entirety for the first time.

 

The trio are big fans of vocal harmony groups like Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Beatles, Tears For Fears and The Beach Boys. They have been performing in this trio format the past year and are back once again at the Outdoor Theatre at Esplanade.

Sean, Alexius and Leslie have all been in various bands in their younger days – Concave Scream, Stroll and Humpback Oak to name a few. They found their common love for the same music during their years collaborating together under the moniker of Hanging up the Moon and Piblokto in their various incarnations from duo and trio to full band formats. This time around, they’ve reignited the same vibes as before but in a more compact trio format, focusing this time on showcasing the melding of three distinctive styles of music.
