Join homegrown musicians as they rip the heavy riffs of grunge, ethereal shoegaze and Britpop anthems from the 1990s by the likes of Soundgarden, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, American Music Club, Chapterhouse, Stone Roses, The Smiths, James, Placebo, Curve and more!

They will also revisit their own classics from Flow, Disko Biscuit, The Stoned Revivals, The Mother, Humpback Oak, PsychoSonique and Force Vomit. 


No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Subterreanean Affair is a motley collaboration of Singapore’s 1990s underground indie scene elder statesmen and friends coming together to lark and rouse sonic pearls of the ‘90s local underground scene. 


Featuring Syed Ahmad (Stoned Revivals), Hassan (Bushmen/Disko Biscuit), Topet (Flow/Disko Biscuit), Nigel Hogan (The Mother/Padres), Leslie Low (Humpback Oak), Ginette Chittick (PsychoSonique/Astreal), Dino (Force Vomit), Roz (Ecrus Garage). 

Syed Ahmad (Stoned Revivals)

Songsmith, producer, director and educator, Syed wears many hats with The Stoned Revivals, Tiramisu, Disko Biscuits and Psychedelic Ants. 

Hassan (Bushmen / Flow / Disko Biscuit)


Hassan is one half of 90s alt rockers Flow and lays the bass for reggae band, The Bushmen and shoegazers, Disko Biscuit. His hobbies include breakdancing and fishing. 

Topet (Flow / Disko Biscuit)


Reticent multi-instrumentalist and elder stateman of the 90s underground scene, Topet sings and rips gorgeous riffs with Flow and bangs the drums with Disko Biscuit. 

Nigel Hogan (The Mother / Padres)


Nigel Hogan remains an enigma and has no social media. He has broken his self-imposed exile to hang with the musician friends he loves and respects. 

Leslie Low (Humpback Oak)

There are names in the annals of the Singaporean music industry that instantly echo with an aura of reverence. Leslie Low is one of them. 

Ginette Chittick (PsychoSonique / Astreal)

Ginette Chittick is a member of seminal shoegaze band, Astreal and a DJ. As a key member of the 90s punk scene, Ginette was a founding member of Singapore’s first all-female band PsychoSonique and a prolific zine-producer. 

Dino (Force Vomit)

Dino is the frontman, guitarist and songwriter of surf-punk, garage rock outfit Force Vomit.  


In the 1990s and early 2000s, the band released albums and gigged regularly in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. He is also a member of alternative rock bands The Guilt, 1234X, The Return and Slowjaxxx Does Dallas, who have also released records and performed in Singapore and Malaysia.
