YONLAPA was formed in Chiang Mai, a small city surrounded by mountains and greenery in northern Thailand. The band started in 2019 after the gathering of its four members—vocalist and guitarist Noina (Yonlapa Pienpanassak), guitarist Gun (Arnuphap Foeilung), bassist Nawin Raknaisil and drummer Fewchy (Chalanthorn Soontornpitak). While their genre could be defined as indie pop music, they do not mind letting their style be what it is.
Coming from different styles of music, YONLAPA took awhile to tune in together. Nonetheless, interestingly, they have been able to include the differences that might not have gone in unison into their fascinating signature tune. The band began to gain traction since the release of their first single Let me go. It was the first music video that YONLAPA filmed amateurly around the city. As of 2022, the video hit about three million views on their Youtube channel.
Mask-wearing is not required, though encouraged, for outdoor events. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
