Two Four and Six Fusion

Two Four and Six Fusion is a Singaporean band with their name conceptualised by the number of strings on each instrument— the two-stringed erhu, four-stringed pipa and six-stringed guitar.

The band, comprising three long-time friends, was formed with the intention of showcasing the versatility of Chinese instruments alongside the Western guitar, to break common stereotypical perceptions that revolve around these instruments.

The trio made re-arrangements of popular music, receiving support amongst local communities by playing classic pieces such as 月亮代表我的心 and Close to You, interesting pieces such as a medley of Pokémon game music, as well as popular pieces like Havana and Dynamite by BTS. The band has since been invited to perform on numerous occasions for organizations such as the Esplanade, NParks, SAFRA National Service Association, and HSBC.

With the support by National Arts Council in 2021 and 2022, the band was able to produce six original instrumental works to further their artistic showcases.
