Synopsis

Get ready for a unique way to spend family time with the Kalari Academy. Experience the joy of learning together at their kalaripayattu and silambam martial arts workshop, specially designed for both parents and kids.

 

In this fun-filled session, families learn, move and bond together while exploring the fundamentals of two ancient Indian martial arts. Discover the foundational movements of kalaripayattu and the dynamic stick-fighting techniques of silambam in a safe, guided environment.

 

This workshop promises to be a memorable journey for both parents and children, fostering discipline, coordination, and teamwork. It's a fantastic opportunity to stay active, try something new, and create lasting memories together.

Advisory:

  • Please meet at the Theatre Studio, Level 4, 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. Thank you.

  • This workshop is recommended for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adult must be 16 years old and above.

  • Patrons who arrive 15 minutes after the start of the workshop will not be admitted into the venue.

The Kalari Academy is a Singapore-based organisation founded in 2015 with the vision to make the Indian martial arts of kalaripayattu, silambattam and adimurai accessible to all who wish to lean. Our teaching philosophy blends traditional approaches with novel and contemporary styles, creating a dynamic way for our students to explore these ancient disciplines. In the 10 years since our founding, the Kalari Academy has grown leaps and bounds—training over 500 students while becoming a recognised martial arts school in Singapore.
