This event is over.
Inspired by the electric bass supergroup of Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten, The Brown Note is a triple-bass jazz fusion group with bass guitar exponents Ben Poh, Melvin Wong and Nicholas Lee. Enjoy the exciting confluence of three bass guitarists showing off their mastery of bass fretboard wizardry, and expect an evening of groovy slapping, tapping, and double-thumb-plucking!
Mask-wearing is not required, though encouraged, for outdoor events. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Update:
Nicholas Lee will not be performing as he is unwell. Siriwat Tae Pliansanthia will be performing with Electric Bass Jam instead. We wish Nicholas a speedy recovery.

An articulate, solid and melodic bass player, Ben Poh is a seasoned performer and sessionist in the music circuit and has been performing on local and international platforms. Kim has had the good fortune of working with a wide range of local artists as a sideman or music director, as well as being able to travel to many different parts of the world to play music. He is always looking for the next musical rabbit hole to dive into.

He has played bass for popular Singaporean bands such as E.I.C (aka Jack & Rai), (The late) Paul Ponnodurai Trio, Wayne Sandz Trio and Shili & Adi and has also performed at RetroGroove. His firm grasp of musicality and technique, coupled with his wide genre expertise and repertoire has allowed him to work with pop, jazz, mando-pop and rock bands and is regarded one of the best bass-guitarists in Singapore.
Mohamed Noor
With his wealth of experience and unique style of playing the drums and percussions, Mohamed Noor is one of the most sought-after drummer/percussionists in Asia. He has recorded and performed with many international musicians and artists and has also performed at various international music festivals.
