Songbirds Series VII: The Sound of Music

Vocal Associates presents the seventh instalment of their Songbirds series. Helmed by Artistic Director Ms Khor Ai Ming, Songbird VII features children and youth singers, with ages ranging from 6 to 23, who train under Ms Khor’s Studio. Many of these talented young voices have won international awards in competitions such as the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition (Salzburg and Amsterdam), the Vienna Virtuoso Music Competition and the Global Online Great Composers Competition. Since 2015, persisting even through the pandemic lockdown, the Songbirds series has been an annual platform for these promising youth to take the stage and share their passion in music. Besides solo recitals, the young voices of Vocal Associates have also successfully put up opera and musical productions over the last seven years. These include Hansel and Gretel (2016), The Little Prince (2018) and Eloise (2019). This year, Vocal Associates brings back the all-time favourite musical, The Sound of Music, which they last staged in 2015.
