Jaime Wong is a singer-songwriter based in Singapore. Influenced by the likes of Damien Rice, John Mayer and Ben Howard, Jaime started off as a regular in the local open mic circle and has gone on to perform at major music events such as the 100 Bands Festival, Baybeats 2014 and SHINE Fest 2015.
A recipient of the Noise Singapore Award for Music in 2012, Jaime's first self-titled EP debuted at #2 on local iTunes charts and was launched in a sold-out show in May 2015. The launch was followed by her first showcase at regional music festival, Music Matters 2015.
Jaime's second EP, titled 'I say too much' is slated for release on 16 September. Its first two singles, ‘I Swore I’d Stop Writing About You’ and ‘breakeasy’ are now available on all streaming platforms.
Backed by local pop/rock five-piece band 53A, Jaime will perform all tracks from her first self-titled EP including 'Shame On You' and 'To Lost Love' and her upcoming second EP, 'I say too much' featuring the epynomous third and focus single, 'breakeasy' and 'I Swore I'd Stop Writing About You'.
Guaranteed to offer a fresh take on her older songs and a dynamic presentation of the new ones, the showcase, held at Esplanade Annexe Studio also features local singer-songwriter, lewloh as the opening act.
The show is supported by The National Arts Council.
