SSG Training Grant is available. Nett fee amount is payable after the training subsidy.
This 5-day training programme combines theory and practice in relation to working behind the stage in the arts or entertainment industry.
The training covers the theory and practical aspects of stagecraft for technical set-up, including risk assessment for set pieces, handling transportation and moving set pieces into performance venue, changing, moving and removing set pieces for performances.
To successfully complete the programme, the participant must attend the 5-day programme and undertake an assessment.
This programme is competency based and is designed to meet the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) framework.
It aims to equip the participant with the required skills and knowledge for stagecraft in the arts or entertainment industry.
Participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for WSQ Perform Elementary Stagecraft when they successfully complete the course and assessment.
Who should attend?
Theatre Technicians or individuals who have an interest to work in technical theatre and or related industries.
Terms and Conditions
In order to enjoy the funding, participants need to fulfil the following requirements:
Must successfully complete training and assessment and be certified competent
Must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (PR) of Singapore
Meet the minimum of 75% attendance
All participants will be required to wear safety shoes during the training programme.
