SSG Training Grant is available. Nett fee amount is payable after the training subsidy
This 2½-day training programme combines theory and practical work in relation to working on elevated work platforms.
The programme covers the theoretical and practical aspects of operating elevated work platforms in which the height of platforms is adjusted by telescoping, scissor mechanisms, articulation, or any combination of these methods.
The training will also cover the use of Tallescope, a mobile, manually operated telescopic ladder with a fixed basket.
To successfully complete the programme, the participant must attend the 2½-day programme and undertake a written and practical assessment.
The training programme is competency based and designed to meet the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) framework.
It aims to equip the participant with the skills and knowledge to erect, maintain and dismantle working platforms and access equipment for live productions and events.
Upon successful completion of the 2½-day programme, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for WSQ Erect, Maintain and Dismantle Working Platforms and Accessing Equipment.
Who should attend?
Theatre Technicians or individuals who work in live productions, events or related industries.
Terms and Conditions
In order to enjoy the training grant funding, participants need to fulfill the following requirements:
Must successfully complete training and assessment and be certified competent
Must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (PR) of Singapore
Meet the minimum of 75% attendance
All participants will be required to wear safety shoes during the training programme.
