The highly anticipated SixTeen Dance Challenge cranks the heat up once again, teaming up young, aspiring street dancers with acclaimed international street dance choreographers.

Following an audition, selected dancers will be mentored by and work with the choreographers such as PREPIX’s WasSup and Joony, Wrecking Crew Orchestra’s U.U and Sawada (Japan) and Honey J and Waackxxxy (Korea) to build on their foundations and hone their choreography skills over an intensive 16-hour programme, eventually performing their special routines at Yfest 2015.

A member of the renowned Prepix Crew, iLL has a formidable dance resume that includes stints as a choreographer in Germany and Italy and tours of the USA as a dancer for Jay Park.

waSsup (KOREA)
waSsup possesses a unique style that has made him a sought-after choreographer by numerous artists such as Jay Park and Cross Gene. A regular feature in Prepix Crew’s many productions, waSsup has brought his expertise as a dancer and instructor to Russia, Italy and Japan.

U.U is a dancer with a sharp locking style who gives highly impressive and charming performances. Although he specialises mainly in lock dance, he also proactively takes on a great variety of new school styles such as B-boying and popping, proudly holding the position of winner in many battles and contests. He is the group’s multi-talented entertainment dancer who also works in the comedy scene.

Sawada (JAPAN)
Sawada always immerses himself fully in the hip hop style, and even within Wrecking Crew Orchestra, he is a dancer who shows a unique perspective on the world. It would not be an exaggeration to call his highly systemised, deeply undulating moves as a highly original and unparalleled style. He dances freely to hip hop music, from the old anthems loved by many to the very latest tunes. Within Wrecking Crew Orchestra, he shows his great power as an indispensable element to their house genre.

Honey J (KOREA)
One quarter of the formidable Korean all-girl dance crew Purplow, Honey J is an established dancer and choreographer who has travelled throughout Korea and the region as a trainer, performer and judge. Her unique style has brought both herself and her crew numerous accolades, such as champion at the 2015 Ground Scratch 3-on-3 Mixed Battle and at Fight the Power 2013 JAPAN.

Waackxxxy (KOREA)
Possessing an impressive dance resume with a particular focus on waacking, Waackxxxy is making her mark in Korea’s hip hop and street dance scene. A veteran of numerous competitions, some of her notable credits include emerging champion in the Funk Stylers Waacking Battle, Feel the Funk Vol.8 and Vol.9 and Waacking Battle Vol.8 and Vol.9.
