Contemporary Vocal Arrangement
Discover how to create rich vocal textures through creative vocal arrangement with music producer Deniece Foo and singer Jessica Irawan. Find out how to arrange background harmonies, and learn about varying melody lines and counter melody lines.
Deniece Foo is multi-talented, award-winning creative director and producer. She has trained and practiced in three art forms: Music, Drama and Dance. Over the past 10 years, she has learnt from veterans in the arts industry both in Singapore and in LA. She has also been a mentor, educator, choreographer and a vocal coach to students in Singapore, and Southeast Asia. Her passion for the arts led her to be one of the founders of Glee Studios Singapore and Singapore Show Choir Academy. She has also produced for the top show choirs in Singapore and aims to make Singapore the home of show choirs around the region.
Jessica Irawan is an Indonesia-born singer-songwriter who resides in Singapore. She was first introduced to the piano at the age of four, and has grown even more in love with music since, with MTV playing a big role in developing her interest in music. She began her musical journey in 2007 after graduating from LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore with Bachelor(Hons) Music, teaching piano, vocals, conducting choirs, performing at various venues, writing songs of gospel musicals, and producing her own original album in 2012.
