Tenor David Charles Tay has performed extensively in Singapore, the United States and Germany. Recent highlights include performances in Ralph Vaughan-Williams’ Sir John in Love and Giuseppe Verdi’s Falstaff with Bronx Opera, Mozart’s Die Zauberflote and Don Giovanni with Lyric Opera Weimar and Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with New Opera Singapore.

Equally in love with art song and concert repertoire, some of his recent performances include Schumann’s Dichterliebe, Poulenc’s Tel jour telle nuit, Britten’s Winter Words and Serenade, among others. David moved to New York City in 2007 where he completed his Bachelor of Music at the Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Neil Rosenshein. He went on to study with Lorraine Nubar for his Graduate studies at the New England Conservatory and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Music at the Manhattan School of Music.
