Enka is a popular form of music which originated in the Meiji Era. Often dealing with sadness, lost love, death, and difficult times, the songs usually include words of encouragement to bring hope and perseverance.

Featuring former Japanese karaoke competition winners: Tan Seng Teck, Pearlyn Ang, Kenji Nakajima, Nakagawa Daisuke, Marumo Harumi, Linawati and backed by the Windstars Ensemble, Enka Night: Golden Oldies of Japan brings you popular tunes by Hibari Misora, Teresa Teng, Takeshi Kitayama, and other famous singers.
