Spend an afternoon with ONE Chamber Choir, organist Dr Evelyn Lim, soprano Felicia Teo Kai Xin, and baritone Daniel Fong, presenting Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem conducted by Lim Ai Hooi. It’s also your chance to catch the Esplanade Concert Hall’s pipe organ in action, as Dr Lim performs works by French composers Charles-Marie Widor and Louis Vierne.

About Evelyn Lim, Organ
Evelyn Lim is the head of music and organist at Methodist School of Music, as well as an adjunct instructor at Singapore Bible College and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She is also Pipe Organ Master at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.

As an organist, she has performed in Esplanade’s A Tapestry of Sacred Music and Pedals and Pipes series, at music festivals, and the organ series at the Victoria Concert Hall.Evelyn is also the founding Dean of the Singapore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Evelyn earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and her bachelor’s and master’s performance degrees at the University of Houston, Texas.

About ONE Chamber Choir
ONE Chamber Choir is a young adult choir under the baton of Lim Ai Hooi, one of the region’s most prominent choral directors. Established in June 2009, ONE currently consists of 35 singers, all of whom are choral enthusiasts with rich choral performing experience.

About Felicia Teo Kai Xin
Soprano Felicia Teo Kaixin has been distinguished as a talented young artist with a voice of distinctive colour. She received her master’s degree at Manhattan school of Music in New York, where she studied under legendary mezzo-soprano Mignon Dunn. She has performed as a soloist at the Manhattan School of Music, International Vocal Art Institute, Singapore Pocket Opera Theater, New Opera Singapore and Singapore Lyric Opera. Her previous operatic roles include Eurydice in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, and the title roles of Rita, with New Opera Singapore, and Dolcina, in Suor Angelica, with Manhattan Opera Studio. She has won top prizes at the Tan Ngiang Kaw Memorial Vocal Competition and Trinity Vocal Competition.

About Daniel Fong
Baritone Daniel Fong graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2016 with a Post-Graduate Professional Diploma, having obtained his master’s degree from the same institution in 2015. He has performed extensively in Singapore and the United Kingdom, with recitals at the Royal Academy of Music, the Oxford Lieder Festival and the Singapore Lieder Festival. His operatic roles include Guccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Figaro in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. He was the winner of the Marjorie Thomson Song Prize from the Royal Academy of Music in 2014.
