At the age of 7, Alicja was accepted by Prof. Krystyna Bocianowska to study at the Symanowski's School of Music in Warsaw. Two years later, she was admitted into the Central School of Music attached to Moscow's Conservatoire. During her 6 years in Moscow, she had the privileged to play in front of the late Tatiana Nikolayeva, Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels. Alicja returned to Warsaw subsequently and won the Polish National Bach and Beethoven competitions. She was also awarded the Chopin's scholarship for 4 years. Upon graduation with distinction at the Warsaw's Lyceum of Music, Alicja entered the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK to study with a polish pianist, Prof. Ryszard Bakst. Within 3 months of entering RNCM she was awarded a scholarship for the rest of 5 years undergraduate studies and further year as a year as a post graduate student. As a performer, Alicja has performed widely throughout the UK including a number of recitals in the Wigmore Hall, St John's Smith square, St-Martins-in-the-fields in London. She has performed in Manchester, isles of Man, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow to name a few. Alicja has also performed concertos and solo recitals in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Italy, Switzerland, Cyprus, Spain, Finland, Japan, USA and now Singapore and Malaysia.
