Djoko Mangkrengg Performing Arts (DMPA) is a youth-focused performing arts group founded by the late Mohamed Khamis Selamat. The ensemble was established to provide a continuing platform for students who, after graduating from their respective schools, wish to further develop their passion for music and performance. Bringing together young musicians trained in angklung, kulintang and gamelan traditions, DMPA fosters ensemble musicianship, discipline and artistic growth beyond the school environment. Under the artistic direction of Shaik Khalil Mohamed Yusuf, the group continues its founder’s vision, empowering youths to sustain Nusantara musical traditions through meaningful contemporary performances.
