Synopsis

The Untourable Album is in fact, able to tour—Canadian indie rock band Men I Trust makes their way back to Singapore with their latest record, presenting hit songs like Sugar and Organon.

 

Having worked on the album during the global lockdown, the band did not expect to be able to tour the album. They took the opportunity to write freely, creating new and different material without necessarily intending to play these songs live. Now, with borders open again, the band has indeed been touring the Untourable Album, an album that experiments with texture to create expanded soundscapes, complete with the band’s signature synths and sombre lyrics.

From the bedroom to the billboard, Shye is a DIY producer and singer-songwriter who also takes on the responsibilities of writing, recording, mixing and mastering from her bedroom.


Self-taught, her music journey is a never-ending learning process and an evolving, continuous exploration of different soundscapes that float between bedroom pop and indie electronic pop, as well as whatever else takes her fancy. Being able to handcraft her own music has allowed Shye to navigate her sonic identity and to find her own voice and personality.

 

Since her debut EP Augustine (2018), Shye has continued to forge her own path in music and has since released three other self-produced bodies of work: her 14-track debut album days to morning glory (2020), the EP hello TRINITY (2021), and her most recent EP, idk it’s complicated (2022) which she launched at her first sold-out headline show.
