Synopsis
Join us for an exhilarating evening of music as the Unity Secondary School Symphonic Band presents a programme full of energy, imagination and heart.
Experience the playful mischief of Cat Adventure by Daisuke Ehara, a whimsical piece that brings feline curiosity and fun to life. Feel the soaring heroism of Silvercrest by James Swearingen, a rousing and inspiring work filled with bold melodies and triumphant spirit. Also, enjoy the lively sparkle of Im Weissen Rössl (The White Horse Inn) by Ralph Benatzky, arranged by Eiji Suzuki, a joyful medley of bright tunes, dancing rhythms and festive energy.
These three works are among the many pieces that will take you on a vibrant musical journey—from playful antics to heroic triumphs—celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of live music. Perfect for families, friends and music lovers of all ages, this performance promises an evening of colour, energy and inspiration that you won't want to miss!
Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight
Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

Artist Information
Unity Secondary School Symphonic Band
The Unity Secondary School Symphonic Band, established in 2000, is a vibrant band that cultivates students’ passion for music and teamwork. Guided by the motto “One Heart, One Sound, One Band”, the band hones members’ musical skills, confidence and discipline through a comprehensive programme that emphasises unity, excellence and character development.
Each year, the band showcases its talents at school and community events such as the Yew Tee CC Chinese New Year performance and National Day celebrations. It has earned commendable achievements, including the Certificate of Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation in 2023 and 2025, and a Silver Award at the 9th Singapore International Band Festival in 2024 (Division 2B). Beyond performances, members broaden their horizons through the Wind Bands Association of Singapore (WBAS) leadership conference and school band exchanges. Through these experiences, the band continues to inspire a lifelong love for music and personal growth.

This is a Relaxed Environment (RE) performance. Perfect for anyone who benefits from being able to make a noise, leave and return to their seat or access the toilets during the performance. No modifications are made to the performance.
