Synopsis

Join the Catholic High School Edward Becheras Choir as they share their love for music and singing with you through a selection of songs from the Italian Renaissance to the French Romantics and contemporary works from around the world. Be enchanted by the harmonious voices of this all-male choir in an exciting evening of song!

 

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

Catholic High School Choir

The Catholic High School Edward Becheras Choir is a premier all-male secondary school choir from Singapore. Its repertoire includes sacred songs, new choral music, folk song arrangements and hits from musicals. In the last few years, the choir has emphasised giving back to the community through video tributes to medical and teaching staff, as well as spreading festive cheer during the Christmas season through carols. As part of a full school comprising both primary and secondary sections, the choir also regularly engages primary students in singing activities.

 

The choir has achieved excellence consistently at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival organised by Singapore's Ministry of Education, achieving the Distinction award again in 2023.
