Synopsis

Get ready to be swept away by the talented Bendemeer Secondary School Concert Band! Led by the dynamic conductor, Mr Joseph Teo, also an alumnus of the school, the band is honoured to be invited for the third time to play at the Esplanade’s Limelight series. The band’s repertoire promises an entertaining evening of harmonious tunes and captivating pieces including the enchanting Spirited Away, to the soul-stirring pieces of Ascentium and the familiar Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence.

 

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

Bendemeer Secondary School Concert Band

Comprising an ensemble of young and passionate musicians, the band has performed at multiple school events and has participated in and garnered top awards at past Singapore Youth Festivals. Despite being put on a hiatus, the band members have been steadfast in pursuing their passion and are excited to return to the stage to present their best.
