Synopsis

Celebrate our nation’s 58th birthday this Beautiful Sunday with Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and conductor Lau Lifeng as they bring you familiar tunes loved by Singaporeans of all ages.

 

Prepare to stand up, clap, and sing along to music by Stefanie Sun, May Day, Dick Lee and National Day songs from across the years with your fellow Singaporeans, family, and friends.

 

Guest performers from the Women Police Pipes and Drums, the Gurkha Contingent Pipes and Drums, ethnic percussionists from the Singapore Police Force Combined Band, singers Corey Koh and Station Inspector Emiliah Senin will also be joining the orchestra on stage for an unforgettable afternoon of music.

To allow more people the opportunity to book tickets for our popular Beautiful Sunday concerts, with the effect from January 2023, we will be reducing the maximum number of tickets that each patron is able to book from 12 to 6 tickets per transaction, per show.

 

If you are unable to join us, you may pass the e-ticket to someone else or return your tickets via the link on your SISTIC confirmation email. This is so that the tickets may be made available to someone else who would like to attend. Thank you.

Comprising over 150 highly skilled volunteer musicians, Philharmonic Wind Orchestra (PWO) was founded in 2000 with the mission of advancing wind music in Singapore and expanding its outreach to all segments of the Singaporean community.

 

The orchestra frequently collaborates with musicians, artists, and experts in different art forms, and strongly supports Singaporean composers by performing and premiering local works. PWO also brings music to the general public by performing at neighbourhoods, and to anywhere it believes it can make a difference.

Sign up for this exclusive tour where you will learn about the world-class acoustics of Esplanade’s crown jewel, its Concert Hall, and get up close with Singapore’s largest pipe organ. Then, enjoy the Beautiful Sunday live concert while seated in the Esplanade Box or Premier Box where you will experience the Concert Hall’s sublime acoustics first-hand. This is a Relaxed Environment (RE) performance. Perfect for anyone who benefits from being able to make a noise, leave and return to their seat or access the toilets during the performance. No modifications are made to the performance.
