Synopsis

Join homegrown rapper BGourd in a showcase of his original music that blends hard-hitting witticisms with playful beats at Esplanade Outdoor Theatre. After making a splash in the Singapore music scene with his EP series, Veggie Wraps, the homegrown artist now presents his latest release produced by Fxrxzx, In Facets of An Uncut Gem, which ruminates in his signature frenetic style over a soundscape of intricate music.

BGourd, boom bap rapper and purveyor of alternative hip hop, aggressively seeks the definition of the Singaporean hip hop sound. Having worked with the likes of Fauxe, Halal Sol, and Fxrxzx, BGourd displays refreshing versatility amidst the musical hubbub, experimenting with range and delivery as he whips up his signature blend of leisurely, free-flowing rhymes. Since completing his Veggie Wraps EP series, BGourd is now working on representing vignettes of his personal life via his new project.
