Synopsis

Conductor, violinist and music educator Lester Kong presents his talented students from two marvellous groups, Musox Chamber Orchestra and Victoria Junior College String Ensemble, to celebrate these young talents and showcase their skills. Bringing together youths of all ages and levels through collaborative playing and peer learning, this performance aims to unite people in their love for music through this shared musical experience.

Musox Chamber Orchestra is the cornerstone of Musox School of Music Crafters program. It is an orchestra designed to build the fundamental skills and knowledge to equip students to play in a collaborative environment to promote performing skills and teamwork.

Victoria Junior College String Ensemble

The VJC String Ensemble is a niche group that provides opportunities for members to pursue their passion for music, through playing string instruments like the violin, viola, cello and double bass.  

 

In addition to honing their music and performance skills through their participation in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation, the ensemble hopes to spread their love of music to a wider audience.
