Synopsis

Dementia is much more than the loss of memories—gradually, what we thought defined us slowly slip away. Each short work in this performance, Before We Forgot, seeks to portray an aspect that is lost, and explores what is left behind. The dancers from DANSTUDIO hope to convey the message to cherish time with our loved ones, before all is forgetten.

No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

DANSTUDIO

Founded by veteran dance educator and choreographer Dan Kwoh, DANSTUDIO aims to provide a platform for dancers to develop their confidence and hone their artistry. As a nurturing community, it caters to various levels and backgrounds in dance and encourage dancers to share and learn from one another, inspiring each other on their dance journeys.

 

With strong emphasis in ballet and contemporary dance techniques, dancers are exposed to different genres and styles across various internal, local and international platforms. This includes opportunities to be part of dance camps, performances, competitions and overseas immersion experience.

 

In 2022, DANSTUDIO was invited to perform at the 50th Anniversary of the Chingay Parade. DANSTUDIO is also proud to have achieved commendable results at various dance competitions.

 

DANSTUDIO prides itself in a holistic approach towards dance education and have a firm belief in character-building through dance, inculcating values such as professionalism, responsibility, resilience and discipline.
