Faiz Syazani

Instagram

Born and raised in Singapore, the young budding musician Faiz Syazani discovered his love for music in 2015 through Brazilian Samba Batucada music when he joined Baracuda Batucada in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. A journey of immense possibilities and discoveries led him to other forms of music and arts, as he found himself venturing into African, Malay, Latin and Indian beats, as well as jazz and hip-hop.

Currently, Faiz is officially a member of the Djembe Singapore club, Nadi Singapura, and a drum instructor at the Academy of Rock.

Rachma Lim

Originally from north Sumatra, Indonesia, Rachma Lim is a pianist-composer who has been gigging in the Singapore jazz scene since her graduation from LASALLE School of Contemporary Music in 2009. After spending the last decade performing and collaborating with a number of great local musicians influenced by many different cultures—including jazz indian-classical fusion band Raghajazz, Orchestra Melayu Singapura—as well as working with international touring vocalists, she discovered her niche—an original musical style that marries jazz with flavours of world music.

Rachma holds a master's degree focusing in jazz studies from Queens College, New York City.
