Mohd Fared Jainal
A recipient of the Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award, Fared engages in cross disciplinary work that delves into the realms of both visual and performing arts. He graduated with a Master’s in Arts (Design) from Open University/LASALLE College of the Arts. Fared has collaborated extensively with various theatre and art groups in Singapore as a director, performer, visual artist and set designer. He has won several awards as a director, designer and actor at the Straits Times Life! Theatre Awards and the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards. Fared is a founding member of Neon Tights, a visual art collective dealing with theatre design. He served as the Artistic Director (2013-2023) of Teater Ekamatra and does consultancy work with Malay Heritage Centre (MHC). Fared also teaches at School of the Arts (SOTA).
Ridhwan Saidi
Ridhwan Saidi is a novelist, playwright and filmmaker. His plays include Bangsawan Gemala Malam, Hamlet Fansuri, Mautopia, Masam Manis and Stereo Genmai, as well as 13 offbeat playlets in the Teater Modular series. He writes with the intent to illuminate poetry and heighten the appreciation of deadpan humour. He amalgamates his practices in filmmaking, literature and theatre and actively collaborates dramaturgically with artists in various fields.
Annaliza Bakri
Ms Annaliza Bakri holds a Master of Arts from the Department of Malay Studies at the National University of Singapore. Her research interests include ideology and its impact on literature and language education. Her writings, interviews and literary translations have been published by Prairie Schooner, Brooklyn Rail, Transnational Literature, s/pores, Budi Kritik (2019), Asymptote and Centre for Stories. She edited and translated a poetry anthology featuring places in Singapore and her surrounding islands titled Sikit-Sikit Lama-lama Jadi Bukit (2017). She has also co-translated award-winning poet, Alvin Pang's What Gives Us Our Names (2011) into Malay in 2019.
