Come create a beautiful butterfly garden!
Aunty Rosie is looking for helpers to build a garden to attract her favourite insects, butterflies. Put your hands to work and create a home for the wondrous inhabitants of Garden Warble! And make sure to keep a lookout for bees, Aunty Rosie is terrified of them…but you don’t have to be!
This immersive workshop explores the importance of bees and the part they play in the life cycle of our gardens. Participants engage in arts and crafts, and drama activities to make a garden and save the bees.
This experience will involve movement around the venue. All participants are advised to be dressed comfortably. All children must be accompanied by an adult of at least 16 years old.
Warble, Warble the Wild’s in Trouble!
Warble, Warble the Wild’s in Trouble! is a collective comprising Eleanor Ee, a theatre-maker, performer and drama educator, and Michelle Hariff, a theatre-maker and nature educator. The collective came together with the desire to create works for children that use the imagination of theatre and play to explore themes relating to nature and nature conservation. Their most recent projects are A Nature Walk with Nelly (Esplanade’s March On! 2025), Warble, Warble, the Wild’s in Trouble! (PLAYlab – Esplanade’s March On! 2024), as well as Build-a-Home (The Artground’s GroundBreakers 2024/25 programme).
