This July, the Moonbeans make a bold return to Esplanade with new ideas and even more interesting reinterpretations of jazz standards. Brimming with energy and a passion for music-making, audiences can expect an evening of straight-ahead jazz—the kind of jazz music you instantly recognise when it’s played at a bar. Also not to be missed are their unique takes on melancholic ballads and reinterpretations of timeless tunes.

Born out of Esplanade’s Mosaic Jazz Fellows mentorship initiative, the Moonbeans comprise five talented jazz musicians—trumpeter Andrea Cui, saxophonist Timothy Tan, keyboardist Wesley Wong, drummer Advait Chandramouli and bassist Richmond Lip. Hear how their distinct musical voices blend into a unique collective sound on stage.
