Sean Hong Wei Trio

Sean Hong Wei is a Singapore-born saxophonist, composer, educator, and bandleader now based in New York. As a longtime member of the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO), Sean has established himself as a distinctive voice in Singapore’s jazz scene and an emerging jazz artist from Southeast Asia.

Sean has performed alongside jazz legends including Reggie Workman, Billy Hart, and Billy Harper at the 2nd Annual John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival. He has also appeared with the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band led by John Lee at Blue Note New York, and venues across North America and Europe.

His international festival appearances include the 13th Shanghai JZ Jazz Festival, Singapore International Jazz Festival, Borneo Jazz Festival, Macau Jazz Week, EFG London Jazz Festival, Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference in Reno, Thailand International Jazz Conference, Jarasum International Jazz Festival in South Korea, and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
