(Intermission: None)
Esplanade Concourse
Music plays a significant role in our lives and is shaped by the social and cultural context of its time. The same piece of music may be interpreted differently depending on the listener, the setting and prevailing social norms. Certain songs can feel light and accessible in one moment, but less relatable in other moments.
Hear Not THAT Version’s interpretation of the soundtrack of life, in a performance that captures the changing nature of everyday experiences. The band brings this idea to the stage through spontaneous improvisation—making music that invites creative interpretation, shifting perspectives and endless discovery.

Joshua Wan has been a familiar figure in Singapore’s music scene for the past 35 years as a pianist, arranger, producer, educator and keyboardist. He is active across a range of musical projects, including neo-soul groups The Steve McQueens, Alpaca and Muse-X.
