Growing Up

When jazz vocalist Siti Nur Iman first sang with guitarist Kenzo Nagari, she knew instantly that they shared a special musical bond. Together, they regularly perform with The Sugar Bees, a close-harmony jazz trio featuring Iman, and Clementi Soul Unit, Kenzo’s passion project. Beyond their musical collaborations, Iman & Kenzo are good friends who share a love for pop culture and cats.

Joining them on stage is Teng Siheng, a Singapore-based bassist who spent several years performing in Pittsburgh’s vibrant music scene. Proficient on both upright and electric bass, he has shared the stage with artists including Roger Humphries Sr., Tony Campbell, Howie Alexander III, Hugo Cruz, and Nikki Porter, and performed with projects such as Hugo Cruz and Caminos and the Brian Edwards Excursion. His playing is grounded in strong time and deep groove, shaped by his diverse musical experience across jazz, fusion, soul, R&B, gospel, and contemporary styles.
