Join veteran jazz diva and vocal powerhouse Alemay Fernandez together with rising bass star Teng Si Heng for this one-of-a-kind acoustic showcase of jazz standards and classics to groove to. Alemay demonstrates her vocal mastery in this performance, accompanied by Si Heng’s versatility and skill on both the upright and electric basses. An intimate, yet lively and groovy performance not to be missed.

Hailed by MusicTalks Sydney as "One of the best jazz singers in the world", Singaporean vocal powerhouse Alemay Fernandez is known for her sultry tone and an onstage presence that keeps the audience eating out of the palm of her hand. She is the only Asian singer to have performed with three of the world's top jazz orchestras—Wynton Marsalis & Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington Orchestra and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars. She has also performed with industry heavyweights like David Foster, Gregory Porter, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, Lewis Nash and Antonio Hart. Representing Singapore on the international stage, she has headlined notable jazz festivals and venues worldwide, including the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York, amongst many.
Alemay has been an integral part of the local jazz scene since 1999, and has performed at two National Day Parades too. She is grooming the next generation of vocalists at LASALLE College of the Arts, School of the Arts (SOTA) and the NUS Jazz Band.
Teng Siheng
Teng Siheng, a Singapore-based bassist who spent several years performing in Pittsburgh’s vibrant music scene. Proficient on both upright and electric bass, he has shared the stage with artists including Roger Humphries Sr., Tony Campbell, Howie Alexander III, Hugo Cruz, and Nikki Porter, and performed with projects such as Hugo Cruz and Caminos and the Brian Edwards Excursion. His playing is grounded in strong time and deep groove, shaped by his diverse musical experience across jazz, fusion, soul, R&B, gospel, and contemporary styles.
