This workshop offers mid-career artists and emerging choreographers a rare and immersive exploration of the making of Kintsugi, a groundbreaking dance-theatre work fusing bharatanatyam, kathak, contemporary movement, mythology, text and music. Participants engage in guided, interactive exercises across ideation (including the use of AI), movement generation, storytelling, dramaturgy, and collaboration with writers and composers. The workshop examines concept development, co-creation, and structuring multidisciplinary work, while encouraging reflection on personal choreographic practice.
Through peer dialogue and hands-on tasks, artists gain tools for reimagining classical forms, integrating technology, and shaping cohesive, performance-ready material under the guidance of choreographers Lata Pada, Suma Suresh, and members of the Kinstugi dance ensemble.
Please meet at the Theatre Studio, Level 4, 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. Thank you.
Participants will be seated on the floor.
