Synopsis

Get a first-hand introduction to the Hulusi, one of the most popular Chinese ethnic instruments. After an eye-opening afternoon of music-making, participants even get their very own brand-new Hulusi to keep! 

 

With its uniquely pleasing musical tone, the iconic gourd and bamboo instrument has mesmerised those who have the pleasure to hear it being played.

Tong Wei Jie is a passionate musician, conductor, and educator, who is dedicated to music education and community engagement. With a Master of Education in Music, he conducts and instructs diverse groups that include students, seniors, and special-needs communities, while fostering artistic development through roles in various schools, ensembles, and cultural organisations in Singapore.
