Combining the Malay term "tenang-tenang" meaning to stay cool and calm, with the humble local beverage "teh" (tea), Teh-nang, Teh-nang promises to be a blend of cool and the familiar. 

 

Let the harmonious fusion of music, dance, and song captivate you and experience the power and joy of drumming that Nadi Singapura brings to every performance. A treat not to be missed!

Formed in November 2011, Nadi Singapura comprises young, aspiring musicians dedicated to elevating traditional Malay drums and percussions. The ensemble has presented and produced numerous shows, and received invitations to various international music and folkloric festivals worldwide. 

 

At the heart of Nadi Singapura lies a strong sense of friendship and commitment to musical exploration. Drawing inspiration from specific moments, Nadi aims to evoke the intended and desirable mood and emotions through the performance of their music that highlights Malay drums, percussions, language, musical styles and movements.

 

Drawing inspiration from memorable moments, Nadi Singapura aims to evoke a range of emotions and moods, through their performances that showcase Malay drums and percussions, the beauty of the Malay language, and the range of musical styles and movements.

 

Nadi Singapura is a recipient of the National Arts Council Major Grant Award 2023 – 2025.
