Synopsis

Enjoy a mesmerising showcase featuring the young talents from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, School of Young Talents – Junior Dance (NAFA SYT Junior Dance), Chinese dance programmes. These performers, aged 9 to 16 years old, will take the stage to present an enchanting performance of classical Chinese dance, each movement meticulously choreographed by their skilled and dedicated teachers.

Artist Information

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, School of Young Talents, Junior Dance Department

Since 1999, NAFA SYT (Junior Dance) has been a guiding force for budding artists. Over the past two decades, the programme has ardently nurtured emerging talents through specialised courses in ballet, Chinese dance, and contemporary dance. Their goal is to foster a love for dance, enrich students’ abilities, and impart valuable knowledge through this expressive medium.

 

NAFA SYT offers rigorous professional training designed to refine and sharpen students’ dance skills, while still actively encouraging students to participate in community events to foster a sense of engagement and connection beyond the studio. Notably, some of its accomplished alumni have pursued advanced studies in dance, realising their dreams and contributing meaningfully to the flourishing dance community.

 

The programme’s commitment to excellence is evident in our evolving approach to dance education, inspiring students to explore the broader art world. Through these efforts, they aim to play a pivotal role in nurturing exceptionally talented dancers in Singapore.
