Reminiscing with Eddy Ali and Friends

Eddy Ali started his career in entertainment as a child actor and was in various iconic Cathay Keris films such as Satay, Raden Mas, Pontianak Kembali and Maria Menado’s Raja Bersiong.  

For his role in Satay, he received the Most Outstanding Performance award at the Asian Film Festival in 1957/58, at the mere age of three! 

Eddy Ali has also been heavily involved in radio since the RTS era, as a presenter and singer-songwriter on a children's radio programme, Mari Menyanyi, and various other radio music programmes.  

Eddy was a resident judge for five seasons of Suria’s singing competition, Anugerah, and was a vocal coach for various programmes on television.  

With his band, Kalibers, he has also released two LPs.
