PASSAGE: Supporting Our Children through Big and Small Transitions

PASSAGE is a workshop designed for all caregivers and educators who, in their own unique roles, support children in their lives.

We often talk about end goals, but most of life is passage—the transitions in between. This workshop, comprising individual reflections and group sharing through therapeutic art and guided somatic (body-based movements) activities, helps us understand and appreciate the inner struggles and fears that children face as they confront life’s big and small changes. We will also be exploring meaningful ways where we can nurture and empower our children as we walk alongside them through their transitions. 

Some of the activities that you may experience in the workshop include:

• Expression on thoughts, and emotions from fears and dreams through simple artmaking
• Reflective dialogues around commonly faced experiences / challenges and felt emotions in coping with life changes
• Learning simple body-based regulation activities to support our children’s fears when they become too big to handle
