Synopsis

Fashion is like a chest full of treasures just waiting to be explored, even when it comes to beautiful Indian ethnic outfits. From pretty sarees to snazzy Punjabi suits, comfy kurtas and kurtis, the traditional paavadai sattai, and twirly vesti – there are so many to choose from!

 

What should Meera wear to her Deepavali party this year? You can even be her fashion buddy, try out different outfits, and showcase your unique style to help Meera decide! But wait, is Deepavali only about dressing up in fancy clothes? Let's join Meera on a fashion-filled adventure and uncover the true meaning of Deepavali.

Grace Kalaiselvi is a freelance theatre practitioner and educator. The Intercultural Theatre Institute alumna has collaborated with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay to create theatre works for young audiences, with productions such as Come Back Home with Polyglot Theatre Australia, The Indigo Jackal for Kalaa Utsavam, Amma’s Sarees for PLAYtime!, Crocodiles in Kurtas and The Old Fogies for Octoburst!, Stories and Songs from the Bow for Feed Your Imagination, and numerous storytelling sessions with Meera’s Adventures at PIP’s PLAYbox.
